Tree coming down

The giant maple on Highland (next to the dance studio, at the end of Cherry Street) is being taken down as I write this. Does anyone know if there was a problem with the tree or they have plans for the lot?

IDK but you just reminded me to put in a request to have the tree growing into my 3rd floor bedroom window trimmed. Yay!
