Parking while moving?

davis_squareI'm moving to East Somerville on August 1, which is a Sunday. I'll be all set for parking that day, obviously, and the first thing I plan on doing Monday morning is going to get a parking pass for my car.
I've been thinking and thinking of ways to keep from getting ticketed over Sunday night into Monday morning and I'm coming up empty. Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I apply for the "resident moving into Somerville" parking pass before I actually move?
