Davis Square Recess tomorrow, 7pm!

Posting for my awesome housemate ...

The parking lot at Herbert Street and Day Street is empty every Wednesday evening, when parking is still restricted after the farmers market is gone. We hate to see all that prime real estate going to waste, so we're calling for Davis Square Recess! And the first one is TOMORROW. We'll have some supplies, but bring your own chalk, jumprope, hula hoop, foursquare ball, wiffle bat, frisbee, etc ...

 

Where: Parking lot at Herbert Street & Day Street (map)

When: Tomorrow, Wednesday July 14 @ 7:00PM

What: Drawing with chalk, jumprope contests, foursquare games, hopscotch ...

Who: All ages

Thanks for all the interest! As londo says, we were a little rained out, but we had a rockin' time playing foursquare and drawing with chalk. We closed up shop a little after 8pm, which seems to be when the cars figure out they can park there.

We're planning to give it another try a week from Wednesday (the 28th).

(We're taking this Wednesday off to go to the Sprout spaghetti dinner (http://community.livejournal.com/davis_square/2298069.html) ... but our not being there certainly doesn't preclude anyone else from showing up with jump ropes and hula hoops.)
