Reasonable Auto Body Place?
Jul. 20th, 2010 09:23 amSo surely there must be a decent auto body place or two in this town where owning a car is a horrible handicap. My car has some minor parking lot incident bruising that I'd like to get taken care of since I want to keep it in re-sellable condition. Just some light denting and some scraped paint. I have a Subaru if that makes a difference in this kind of thing. I just don't want to go to some place that's going to charge me 800 dollars to take 2 seconds to pop a dent with a magnet.
I'd like to support a local business although I'm willing to go to one of the surrounding burbs if all the shops around here are going to gouge me. Any recs?

Hooray for Subarus!

Original Auto Body on Joy Street in Somerville is super sketchy looking, but they do great work.
Arlington Center Auto Body on Swan Street is who Cityside uses. Very competent at the work. A tad overpriced, but hey, it's basically a dealer shop.
If you need any mechanical work done, I'd highly recommend Vinnie at Vinnie's Autosport. He knows Subarus like the back of his hand. Just tell him Ian sent you.
