So this might be better suited to craigslist, but I'd prefer to stick as local as possible. Does anyone in the area have extra boxes (sturdy enough to move with) I could use? The rain-soaked, half-ripped ones that get tossed on the curb don't really seem like they'd do the trick...

I have about 15 moving boxes of various sizes. You're welcome to them. I live near Powderhouse, and I'll be home all afternoon tomorrow. Let me know if/when you want to pick them up.

There are a bunch in front of 82 or 84 Albion Street off Lowell St. They are in good condition, just broken down for the trash pickup tomorrow. Get them quick!

FreeCycle often has both "looking for" and "giving away" moving boxes posts. Might be worth a look.

You can often get good boxes at the Shaw's bakery in Porter. They go through several cartloads of boxes every day.

Any liquor store will usually happily give you their boxes.
