I tried searching through the tags without much assistance, so here I am! (Relatedly: perhaps "hair" should be "hair/beauty"? Just a thought...)
I am looking for a place in Davis to get a decent pedicure. I have been to Square Nail Studio in the past and while I ADORE Heather and her hearty band of quirky beauty professionals, I'm looking for a more.... recession-friendly option (i.e., cheaper). I've checked out Yelp and other review websites, and have seen mixed reviews for Davis Square Nails and Julie's Nails (though I don't know if I've even seen a storefront for either place).
Does anyone have personal recommendations for a good, relatively inexpensive place to get a pedicure? I'm looking specifically for someplace close to the MBTA, either Davis or Porter.

Date: 2011-01-19 04:51 pm (UTC)It is downstairs from Zing Pizza.
They have the basic pedi listed for $23/spa for $33 (they seem to have changed the descriptions somewhat since I've been there, but let me just say, the cooling mud/hot towel part of the spa pedi is wonderful.)
Just beware it will almost certainly take longer than they say.
They take appointments, but it doesn't seem to make much difference in when they take you, so really, it is good if you can leave plenty of time (or probably go earlier in the day when they are less busy).
Other than the time factor, I've been happy with their services. (Though I don't go to nail salons that often, so I don't have that much to compare to.)
