Farmers' Market returns to the Armory - this SUNDAY (and next)

The Farmers' Market returns to the Armory this weekend and next, but it will be on SUNDAY rather than Saturday. It will be open from 10 am to 2 pm and will also include crafts vendors.

After the April 10 and 17 indoor markets, you'll have to wait a month for the final two, May 22 and 29.

Having never attended a Farmers' Market in April, I am curious what sort of foodstuffs to expect to find there? I did see the list of vendors that the Patch posted...I was just wondering what the farms would be bringing to sell.

I don't know, but I'd guess the merchandise will be similar to what we saw at the winter markets (some of which comes from Florida farms that Enterprise has an arrangement with)

At the winter markets I saw various leafy vegetables, carrots and beets and other roots, apples, fish, breads, Taza chocolate, and other things I can't remember right now.

Thanks. I haven't attended any of the winter markets...Saturdays are tough days for me. Since these were moved to a Sunday, I was hoping to attend at least one.

The local farms are starting to have fresh greens, along with the root veges from the winter. There are also 2 fresh fish markets from gloucester, and a couple of natural meat vendors. Also some bakeries, wine vendors, and always a few surprises. The fresh greens make it really worth going, in my opinion.
