I don't make clothing patterns (at least, I never have), though I've made many original wedding dresses, paid and otherwise, by combining commercial patterns and adding pieces of my own design. [...] What did you have in mind?

this is, in fact, exactly what's going on here. she is reasonably experienced making clothing from patterns, and making minor modifications, but this project is a little outside of what she's done. i was hoping we might find someone who could help out. details need to be worked out -- with her, really :-) -- but we're willing to pay a reasonable fee for assistance. :-)
