Beach roses
Oct. 12th, 2011 06:33 amHi all, My mother (who lives in western PA) has been reading about beach roses and would like to try growing some. Apparently you can grow them from seed if you get some of the rose hips in the fall (no one in western PA seems to sell the plants). She has enlisted me to get some rose hips. Does anyone around here have a beach/wild rose bush that they would be willing to let me cut some rose hips from? Anywhere in the Davis area would be great.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I just nabbed a rose hip from a rest stop in central MA and I plan to plant some seeds (in a pot!). I would offer you some, but Porter Square Shopping Center and Powderhouse Park (the traffic island) both have them, and that's probably more convenient for you.
