Restaurant.com has a thing where you can give free $10 gift certificates to restaurants to your friends, family, and strangers. There is usually a minimum purchase to use the certificates, so you have to be willing to spend a fair bit at these restaurants to begin with, but the certificates can save folks some money.

There are several participating restaurants in Somerville, and Mike's Pizza, right in Davis, is one. (And many more in the Boston area as a whole, too.)

Go here to register and start giving folks certificates. (I'm guessing that there will be some spam associated with this process, so keep that in mind when giving these things to people. :-)

(On a side note, there's apparently a new restaurant over on Washington Street called "Potato Freak". OK...)

Re: Potato Freak, in England they have jacket potatoes (ie. potatoes with cheese or something on top) in places like mall food courts. I don't understand why we don't have any of those in the states. I am always intrigued by Potato Freak when I see it on Foodler, but I can't eat potatoes anymore so I've never tried it :(

Potato Freak's food rocks. It's mostly hash browns with stuff in it. I wrote a review with lotsa juicy details here

I have tried lots of stuff on their menu. I'm from the Midwest, so the beef stroganoff one is my fave. Their Spring salad has some of the tastiest chicken I've had in a long time.
