seeking a commercial kitchen to rent

I do not want to repost the whole thing, but the jist is I am looking to find out about renting a commercial kitchen. If I had my druthers, it would be in Davis/Porter/Teele/Union/Ball.

I have, they are full and expect to be so for the next half year. They had other very helpful information for me, but the demand for what they do is incredibly high.

I cannot help with finding a kitchen, but a couple of friends have opened a jam making business in Wisconsin and rented a kitchen for the purpose. I'll ask if they have any insights or suggestions.

Clover (of the food trucks) just opened a restaurant/kitchen space in Inman, and I think they said they were interested in sharing their commercial kitchen space with other community enterprises... might be worth contacting them anyway! (They are really nice people and into unique businesses/good community relations so they might be able to advise you even if their kitchen isn't suitable.)

oh, thanks! I have never been to their restaurant, but I am a fan of the trucks, I will check that out.

a restaurant closed on sunday or monday? a catering kitchen?

Or a church. Or a school. Or a camp or club. This is how the local SCA does it when they want to cook a feast and need to rent an industrial kitchen.

I thought of that, and have a list of churches I can use (because I am bottling and selling things, most church kitchens are not actually up to code the way I need it; they are fine for private events but not actually commercial kitchens). Also churches and schools are rarely secured areas, where I could store raw materials for an extended period of time; I have done SCA events (I have been head cook for 3 of them), and usage was generally on a short term basis...ie, We need this space for 4 days leading into the feast. I am looking at something that will provide a few months of usage.

All true. I think the trickiest part of what you want is the continuous rental of exclusive controlled storage space.

yeah. which is unfortunately why I can't really keep working in the kitchens I have access to...I need to be able to buy bulk sugar, especially, and just keep it where I work. a lot of the other things can be handled differently (especially since I mostly work with fresh things; I can haul 20lbs of lemons and limes around), but things like my wheel slicer and my juicer and the 3 gallon pots and 100lbs of sugar, etc., are more easily left in a work space.
