Heya! I find myself in need of someone to print a run of 9x12 glossy full-color poster/flyers. Any recommendations on local places that you've had good experiences with? Many thanks!

I've tagged this 'office services' . Some of the old posts, such as this one, may be helpful.

I've had good results with Gnomon Copy (http://gnomonhs.com/). They have 2 locations, in Harvard and Medford.

Call Stan at Fleming Printing. It's across the parking lot from Shaw's in Porter Square. Tell him Beckie from Theatre@First sent you and he'll probably give you deal.

Place in Union Square seems pretty cheap - I forget what it's called but it's next to El Potro, the Mexican restaurant.

I've had good luck with classic copy (now classic graphix) in Central for all my business printing stuff. I appreciate that they are really good at letting me know what results can happen from different types of originals (instead of sneering at me when I'm disappointed by something ala Kinko's)

this is what i came in to mention; we used them at Pandemonium and they gave incredibly great results.

Looks like there are already plenty of suggestions, but for additional options/future reference... I worked with Cambridge Offset Printing for years at my old job. They always did excellent work and always figured out every kind of project we asked for - large and small runs of posters, small books, pamphlets, etc.

The website is cambridgeoffset.com and they're just off Mass Ave between Porter and Davis.

I just had something printed at Cambridge Offset Printing (stickers, not a poster) but they got a full color job done in 24 hours and gave good feedback on how it would turn out. I will use them again should another similar need come up!

I use Vistaprint for all my flyer needs. They're "local" as in Lexington, MA, but do all their biz online. Still, good, fast turn arounds for on-line, and if you don't need rush-service, inexpensive.

I wouldn't use Vistaprint. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vistaprint#Controversy:_Rewards_Program)

Are you looking for real offset printing (large quantities of publishing quality prints) or just a small number of copies (or prints from a file) like you get at a copy shop?

For offset printing, when I worked in publishing and at MassBike, I use to use BFS Printers over near the Seaport area of Boston.

For copies, most places are fine. MIT runs its own copy shop too, which at least used to be very, very cheap.
