Has anyone out there used grandcentralapartments.com to try and find an apartment?

It seems like they have good listings from the ads placed on boston.com, but I can't tell if they're legit or not.

Has anyone had any positive or negative experiences with them?

save your money. we used them and when we called landlords from their 'listings' most of the landlords had no idea who GCA was. these landlords had posted ads in the globe, on craigslist, or other places, NOT with GCA. I can only gather that GCA culled ads from these places and put them in their own database, then handed them to us. not illegal, but misleading. part of the reason we were drawn in was access to good apartments without the realtor fee, but most of the places we looked at we could have found via craigslist. indeed, the place we ended up renting had been posted on craigslist so we just signed the lease directly with the landlord instead of going through GCA's process. partly this was because i was so pissed off, but it also would have been awkward to explain to the landlord that he now had to negotiate with an outside agency on our lease agreement.

If you don't have time to look through all the various apartment postings, they might be for you, because they'll save you time. but after my experience I can't recommend them.

perfect! just the feedback i was looking for...i've been scouring craigslist and just hadn't been finding as much as i would have hoped...i saw a couple of listings for gca that i thought looked nice that i hadn't seen on craigslist so i figured i would see if anyone had tried it out.
