I'm looking to move Sept 1 (aug 1 if I can finagle it), but I have to let my landlord know by May 1. I haven't moved in a few years but from what I am hearing this year will go from bad to brutal. If you are moving out of a great apartment 1 bedroom apartment with parking - within a mile or two of davis (east arlington, north cambridge, medford, spring hill, ball sq, powderhouse, my beloved teele!!!, etc) I would appreciate any leads.

Thanks!

Good luck, and man, please don't hesitate to post if you stumble on some amazing hidden apartment cache! My boyfriend and I are looking to move within the area this year too, despite just moving to Davis last Sept. 1st. We only had a month's notice to get out of our Back Bay apartment, and thought we ended up with a great location on the Bike Path, it's crazy expensive! I wish Craigslist wasn't so bloated by the same three Apartment Rental Experts listings posted over and over again...

Yeah, I found an amazing two and a half bedroom apartment for $1350/month with Apartment Rental Experts. They were really helpful when we were looking.

Union Square. We don't have amenities like a dishwasher, reserved parking, or free laundry, but it's a really great place in a great location and our landlord is super responsive and easy to get a hold of when we have any problems. We can even see the whole Boston skyline from our kitchen- including the fireworks on the 4th of July.

While we are on the topic, what is the going rate for a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom in the Davis Square area with typical amenities (parking, disposer, dish washer, laundry, not crazy landlord)?

Those are typical amenities?

Not trying to be snarky, sorry! I'm just genuinely curious because I've only ever apartment hunted as someone looking for the cheapest place, so I didn't realize that a disposer and dishwasher were typical, for example.

They are not unfortunately. I was being a little sarcastic. But I'd still like to know how much a place like that might go for....

With all of that, probably $1500 if you're within a few blocks of the square...that was my experience.

Hi. I dunno if you're still looking, but if so a close friend of mine is renting theirs in Medford Square.
It's a really nice place
