We found out Saturday that our landlord is selling the property, so we are starting our search for a new place to live. We have time to look (it's not being listed til mid-June, and I sincerely doubt it'll sell immediately), so we're getting started tonight.
We have a realtor we like, and I have of course been surfing Craigslist. But we really really want to stay within Davis if at all possible.
To steal the format from a previous post:
About us:
3 adults, possibly 4 if we find a large enough space. Mid 30s professionals whose idea of a kickin' party is having a couple of friends over for dinner and watching television. We have two cats and a bird.
What we're looking for:
Ideally 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bath. We can manage, we think, with 2 bedrooms / 1 bath. Walking distance to the red line (one of us commutes via the red line) is a must. Washer/Dryer availability is important, but could be negotiable for the right place. Our max budget is $2,000/mo. (For a 4 bedroom, we could go higher, as we'd have an additional person helping with rent-- we can certainly discuss!)
Offstreet parking is nice, but if we're close enough to the red line, it's something we can live without.
We are also interested in condos that fit the above requirements. We have time, so we don't mind taking a look at places available farther out in the summer/early fall.
