Pictures in the Square

I thought that I would share these for you local types. My part-time job is bartending at the VFW behind the Winter Hill Bank (I'm a member there) and it's customary for me to get a couple of coffees before my shift on Saturday mornings at the Dunkin Donuts. While wandering over there from The Post this past Saturday, I took a couple of pictures and played around a bit.

The first is of two of my fellow vets who were collecting money for disabled vets, selling poppies in front of the McDonalds. The gentleman on the left is a Vietnam Vet and the one on the right is an 86 year old WWII vet. They happen to be two of my favorite people. They didn't notice me take these.







Here's the Rosebud in black and white and color.







I'm a total hack and not actually a photographer by any stretch as these show, but nevertheless, it's The Square.

While I was "away" I unfortunately let my membership at the Dedham post lapse . . . and I don't live in Dedham anymore . . .

Come by this Saturday after 13:00. I'll be there setting up for my husband's grad party but will buy you a beer and get you an application. Bring a copy of your 214 with you. : ) We need more young'uns in there. I'm the youngest member at 30!

It says that it was Established in 1941 on the sign over the diner so that would make it 64 years old. ; )
