Weird. Never got cold eggs from Johnnys. I have, however, gotten rude service and mediocre food at Rosebuds. Which is why, despite the glam exterior, I don't go there anymore.
Every time I've eaten there in the past two years, either the eggs or the potatoes have been cold. Not just lukewarm, mind you. I'm talking cold. The phenomenon seems to be much worse with poached eggs, but given that I'm dropping $10-12 for breakfast, I think I should be able to expect a little more than I've been given.
Glam exterior is the only thing Rosebud's got going for it. I've written it off as a loss.
Fortunately one doesn't need to be subjected to poor food and service to appreciate the glam exterior :) I like Rosebud far more now that I never go inside.
