heh, i like the place, but i had a stupid encounter with the manager too. i was having a meal alone and asked for hot water from the waitress. when i pulled out my dry tea leaves, the manager barked at me and told me harshly that he would lose his liquor license. i understand, but geez.. be nice.

Exactly. It would take nothing to say something like, "I'm sorry, but we don't allow outside beverages." It's another entirely to have a fit about it.

what does the owner look like? is he the older dude who sits at the door a lot of the time? if so, i didn't know he even worked there. i thought he was some random dude saying hi when we walked in. i've only ever seen three people in there: him, the bartender, and the waitress.

He looks like an older, townie guy. Not sure if he's the same one that you're thinking of though.

i don't remember what he looks like. the management may have even changed since. it's alright though. it's not like it would keep me from coming.
