I need to find some place in/near Camberville where I can use a computer, internet and printer. In the old days we had cyber cafes, now we have....??

My fiancé suggested that the Somerville library may have computer and printer access. Anyone know? Any other suggestions? Willing to pay as necessary for time of course.

The Somerville Library has computers for free and I think printers too, though you might have to pay for printouts.

To be specific, I'm talking about the Central branch. I'm not sure about the one in Davis or the one in East Somerville, but I would assume so.

I don't think the West Somerville branch currently has a computer or printer for public use. But I bet the Cambridge main library does.

Yes, they do. I just used it last month at the West branch.

The one in Davis (west branch) does have computers and printers for use, but you do have to pay for printouts and I think there's a half-hour limit on usage.

I have used the computers and printers at Fedex/Kinkos when I needed to quickly print a document from my email, and I remember thinking the rates were pretty high... If you were hoping to sit there and work for a couple hours, I'd definitely check those rates in advance. But I do know that they're available and I think the Harvard Square location is open 24 hours, so maybe better than nothing if the library's closed!

I used the Fedex/Kinkos computers when I was putting together a mortgage application a few years ago. The big benefit of the cost is that nobody who's just going for casual websurfing is going to pay when they can go to the library for free, so for time-sensitive tasks (or tasks where there's going to be some pay-off), it's worth it.

Also it probably keeps you on task and not checking LJ or facebook when you should be doing the important thing. :)

This is definitely something to hit up the library for, if it's open on a Sunday afternoon.

The Cambridge public library gives you 10 free b+w pages of printing a day, and computers are plentiful.

Also, can we all take a minute to smile at the phrase "old-fashioned Internet cafe"?

Woah. That brings back a wave of nostalgia.
