As the 2nd in my continuing series documenting art theft in the Greater Davis Square area, I bring you today a heartbreaking theft from the Museum of Bad Art.

From their Facebook page:

ANOTHER THEFT AT MOBA!

This piece has been stolen from the MOBA gallery in the Somerville Theatre. It was on display for informational purposes only, as we do not include paintings on velvet in the collection. This is the second theft this year; it's getting annoying. If you are the selfish lout who took it, or have information about the piece's whereabouts, please contact: curator@museumofbadart.org.

This is terrible! What kind of miscreant would steal such irreplaceable art?

I remember looking at the velvet Elvis and being astonished at how Bad a piece of "art" it was. I wonder why anyone would steal it, (why would they *want it*??) unless it's some sort of a frat-type prank. What was the other piece that was stolen?
