ABC Family filming in Davis Square - Wednesday 11/28

An e-mail I got today:

Hello, this is Jackie Rossetti from the City of Somerville with important information for the Davis Square area. On Wednesday, November 28th a film production company will be filming scenes for an upcoming TV show* at indoor locations in Davis Square between the hours of 6am and 9pm. To accommodate this event and for public safety reasons, parking restrictions may apply in some areas of Davis Square and in surrounding lots, including Day Street and Grove Street. Additionally, the vehicle travel lane will be restricted at the left turn lane from Highland Ave. onto Elm Street. Somerville Police officers will be stationed in this area to assist with any temporary detours. To reduce impacts on businesses, customers and residents, Resident Permit Parking in this immediate area will be relaxed during posted “No Parking” hours.

* I asked Jackie Rossetti what the TV show is, and she replied: It’s an ABC Family pilot called “Terminales”.

(I wonder if this is why Diesel Cafe will close at 5 pm Tuesday and be closed all day Wednesday?)

Per an informal discussion with someone in my election day line, I am reasonably certain this is why diesel is closed.

Since the filming will happen indoors, I don't think most people will even notice, unless they're trying to visit one of the affected businesses such as Diesel. People are used to the Day Street lot being closed on Wednesdays anyway, for the farmers' market.

Chester St is blocked off already in preparation of tomorrow's catering for the crew. There are going to be some traffic issues, I'm sure.

I was selling gold and silver in Davis Square this morning at La Chic Boutique (http://sellgoldbullionboston.com) and i saw Jennifer Lopez in there taking pictures with the Hispanic lady behind the counter. I can't believe she is in Somerville. Smoking hot latina, definately will be going back to Davis Square Somerville Soon.

I don't think Lopez is involved with the show that was shot tonight, but she's producing another pilot for ABC Family.
