Somerville Open Studios: Artist Deadline, Volunteer Sign-up

Hi DSLJ Fans of Somerville Open Studios,

My ridiculous crocuses have already poked their tiny noses up through the frozen earth. That means it's not too early to be thinking about SOS!

Two Important Items to Share:

Deadline for Registration for SOS is THIS THURSDAY (1/31)
If you've been meaning to sign up, but just looooo-ove waiting until the last minute, Congratulations! The Last Minute is here! Your time has arrived. Don't miss it.

Any artist who lives in Somerville or who maintains and works in a studio in Somerville is eligible to participate. If you work out of your home, we have a special workshop planned just to help you. If you cannot show out of your workspace (fourth floor walk up with 2 toddlers and a big dog?) there are still a few spaces in the Community Space available for an additional fee. Upcoming workshops for SOS members include Arts Marketing workshops, State sales-tax filing workshop, low-cost hanging system demo, and more.

Those of you who have been around and following SOS for a while will know: we've never had anything like this before. It may seem like a simple form, but to us it's HUGE. It's the first time we've had an easy way to connect the people who want to help, with the Team Leaders who need the help. So if you've ever wanted to be a part of SOS, and weren't sure how, check out the page. You could put in an afternoon hanging posters, or two hours at an info booth, and make a HUGE difference.
