Parking Sticker Residue

Now that we are in the brave new world of removing our old parking stickers, what are you guys doing to get rid of the residue that gets stuck on your windshield?

The city usually sends me a renewal notice around the beginning of February for my visitor permits, which expire at the end of March. I did not get any such mailing this year. Did everyone else get it?

(I no longer have a regular resident permit since I no longer have a car)
