Hi All,
My brother-in-law has been working hard on an awesome tiny house project. Built entirely by himself, and close to completion, he is now seeking help/information/leads on a place to set it down permanently, either by renting or purchasing space. Please visit the following link for more details:

Thanks!

Date: 2013-04-01 01:44 pm (UTC)How many Sq Ft is the roof? if under 140 it'd be easy to install in a backyard in my town as a shed, so he could maybe post a "wanted: small corner of your property to rent" ad on Craigslist. might require some minor ignoring of the law, but with little repercussions other than having to move it if caught

Date: 2013-04-05 03:32 pm (UTC)I shared your note with my Dave. His response to me was:
"I don't know what he means by the roof size. It's the square footage that matters. In most places, a permanent structure that's under 120sq ft doesn't need a permit. That rule doesn't apply if it's on wheels...
Anyway, my house's footprint is about 160sq ft. The livable space is about 130 or something."
Can you say a bit more about the regulation about sheds, and what town your are in? Thanks!
