Legal, quasi-legal or not-legal-but-safe places to park around Fresh Pond?

Does anyone know of a place to park around Fresh Pond without a Cambridge permit? I want to take a friend from out of town there but don't want to also be showing them Pat's towing... ;-)

Yes, we made the decision before the situation had been resolved last night. As for tomorrow (Sunday), the Festival is back on. I know that pmrp has cancelled its program at the MIT Museum, but the Festival staff has been hard at work last night making sure their website (http://cambridgesciencefestival.org/Home.aspx) is as up to date as possible.

Thanks. The battle robot contest has been moved to Wednesday night 4/24. Obviously my comment above was supposed to say 4/20, but I didn't notice my error until you had replied (which prevents me from editing it).
