This week's tragic events have caused some disruptions to the Cambridge Science Festival, including to two Somerville-connected events that had been scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
Post-Meridian Radio Players have cancelled tomorrow's Sci-Fi Double Feature, which was to have a final performance at the MIT Museum. The producers feel that the content of 'THEM!' is inappropriate to perform again at this time.
Artisan's Asylum have postponed tomorrow's scheduled Battlebot Contest, because yesterday's lockdown closed the Asylum and interrupted the teams' robot construction projects. The event will now take place on Wednesday, April 24, from 6 to 9:30 pm, at the Armory, 191 Highland Ave.

Date: 2013-04-20 10:16 pm (UTC)It's only Somerville-connected in that a few Somerville folks (such as myself) are in it - the show closest to Somerville was the one that was cancelled today in Porter Square (as were all Cambridge Science Festival events today). It's a fun, free, show, with songs including many composed in a collaboration with Cambridge elementary students and composer David Haines, and many other original compositions ranging from lullabye to calypso to rock to sea shanty. The chorus is a multigenerational group with kids 5 and up, parents and grandparents in the mix.
