Boston Philharmonic Funk Foundation - 5/26, 7:30pm, Armory

Hi, all! I wanted to share a (rather quickly) upcoming event that promises to be a lot of fun, if our rehearsals so far have been any indication! (Look for me; I'll be the brown violinist. :) )

The Philharmonic Funk Foundation is a soul, disco and funk machine that consists of 44 people. With a rhythm section, a full string orchestra and all the horns and winds you can think of, it has everything needed to perform even the most heavily orchestrated disco hits and soul ballads live for you. The original Dutch orchestra has performed on all the big stages and festivals in the Netherlands, and now, the Boston branch is excited to have you here for their first performance.

(No relation to the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, FYI.)





WHEN: 5/26 (Sunday), 7:30pm-9:30pm

TICKETS: $10, online or at the door

Looks like fun! I can't make this one, but I'd love to come to your next performance. Can I get on a mailing list?

If there is a future show, then I'll definitely let you know! For right now this is a one-off thing--not sure what plans exist for this group to really solidify and do regular shows (but I would be ALL OVER THAT). :)
