Amelia's -> West 7 Bistro in Teele Square
Nov. 3rd, 2013 07:23 pmAmelia's in Teele Sq was closed and under renovations, and I have noticed the space looking more and more like a new restaurant as I pass by. It sounds like it's a name change but the same management, according to Eater Boston, and they say it is actually open now, with an Italian menu as before (I didn't check.)
Anyone check it out? I loved Amelia's when it first opened, er, 17 years ago according to that blurb, but lately it had fallen off my list of places worth getting back to.

Date: 2013-11-04 04:57 pm (UTC)I just wonder if a mid-priced red-sauce Italian joint, no matter how cozy and friendly, is the right approach. Posto makes truly excellent pizza not too far down the street, so if you want excellence you'll go to Posto. And if you want a bargain, there's plenty of places for good-but-not stellar takeout or delivery. Still, it seems like a good place for friends or families to grab a meal that's not too expensive and is still a fun night out. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
