According to DooWee's Facebook page, he's going to be working with Wonder Bar in Allston, and also opening something in London. (Yes, that London. Across the pond.)

He (Duy, the owner) also said that a unique Chinese restaurant will be moving into the Somerville space, and that he helped to develop part of the menu.

So, I think it sounds as if some of DooWee's fare (the baos, I hope) will survive locally.

I'm sorry to see him go. The food was terrific, and the prices were unbeatable.

I haven't heard anything about a Cambridge location, but I guess you never know. Duy has his fingers in a lot of pots, so to speak.

I heard all of the same things from the woman working the counter on their last day. She said they'd be keeping the baos, but didn't say anything about the crispy chicken hearts...
