Community Garden question

Possibly a random question, but who is in charge of administering the community gardens in Somerville (like the one on the Minute Man path near Davis Square)?
I ask because my sister works for the Chamber of Commerce in my hometown in Pennsylvania, and someone has approached her about starting a community garden there. She was hoping to find someone that she can email to ask some questions about running of such a thing (how is insurance handled, etc.), and I said I would try to help her track down the right contact here.
Any help directing me to the right person(s) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I recall that hauntmeister at least used to be involved with that. I think that if I link his name here, LJ will send him a notification and maybe he'll stop by here to respond.

Otherwise, I suggest calling the city and asking for the person in charge of Urban Agriculture. The bikeway garden long predates the existence of that office, but she may have inherited it.

For Cambridge the person to contact is: Jennifer Letourneau (jLetourneau@cambridgema.gov). She might also be a good person to ask about it. She's the conservation department director and is in charge of coordinating the garden coordinators (each one has a gardener who maintains email lists and monitors things like compost and water needs)
