Folks, our "little library" took sort of a beating in the wind storm last month... the door got ripped off so I emptied and removed the shelving. Would welcome some ideas or assistance in building it back. Thinking we might re-purpose a kitchen or bathroom cupboard and insert it into the phone box frame. Any carpenters/engineers/tinkerers out there want to get in on this??? Thx James

I don't have any useful comment, but I'm glad to see that it's gonna come back online --I was really happy when I first discovered it, and a little bummed when I realized it had been shut down (for the winter?). Thanks for making it happen!

Maybe use one of those "childrens" locks that make you have to push in and then up to open?

I have a Home Depot gift card that I can donate if you need to buy supplies. It has about $80 on it.

I'm wildly busy all summer with projects, but if somehow you're still looking for help in September I can do this with you. Hopefully someone will step up before then, it's a great project you have going there!

I'd recommend against using a prefabbed cabinet because they tend to be made of materials not suitable for outdoor use. But it would be fairly easy to build something with Courtney's $80 from HD and other found materials.
