New Road Sign?

I know this is technically about Medford, but since it's a block away from Powderhouse Square, I figured it was relevant.  Today I noticed that there's now a "No Right Turn" sign at the corner of Boston Avenue (coming from Ball Square) and Harvard St.  Does anyone know if this is a temporary thing related to the road work they've been doing for a few months, or something permanent?  There's still a "Detour" sign attached to the post, but the turn prohibition sign seemed pretty permanent too.

I think it's temporary because (at times) only one lane gets through due to widening of the train bridge above. I think the work might take six to eight months, but it's not permanent IIRC.

I have been blithely ignoring it on the assumption someone forgot to take it down one of the times they've closed the underpass for the Green Line construction. Evidence indicates I am not alone in that assumption. :-)
