Rug Cleaning

I have the stinkiest rug ever. It is an area rug: roughly 4'x6'. Anyone know someplace I can get it cleaned for less then $50?

If not, I will have a free stinky rug for the first taker (not that I expect anyone to take it :-)

I'm not sure what the water would do to the hardwood floors. Any idea? I like my landlords and really don't want to destroy the floors.

Tried that. Also tried carpet fresh. Also tried hosing the rug off in the driveway and leaving it out in the Sun. It had pet vitamins and a bottle of water dumped onto it and then danced on by my dog. Pet vitamins have a stink nothing normal seems able to cure :-( Rug *looks* perfect. Just has this God awful oder.

hi, if its wool and it a nice day take it out and give it a hose down, then if you have a wet vac remove as much of water as posable. then lift of floor to dry. if its no so nice out, dry inside and point fans at it with some venatlation
