reliable taxis from Davis Square

In the next few weeks I'll need last-minute transportation from Davis Square to Belmont. Can you recommend a cab company that's reliable, at least recently? Or tell me of one that isn't? Thank you.

I use Green Cab and I usually don't regret this decision. They operate a stand next to the DS CVS, too.

+1 Green Cab. Booking through their phone app actually works too.

A driver claimed to me lately that you get assigned a cab faster if you book through the app than if you call- though clearly that's not as immediate as the cab stand.

+1 recommendation for Green Cab, especially now that they're outfitted for credit cards. The app is super useful, especially for booking ahead of time.
(but use cash if you can, the credit card company takes a fee from the driver for every transaction)

Ditto. We pretty much always use Green Cab, and they've been remarkably consistent about showing up when we schedule them for, and getting us where we're going quickly and easily...

I go to Belmont frequently and take Uber, it is about $10

Green cab is very reliable. I now use their smartphone app (iPhone). Or call them. We normally only use them for a scheduled pickup when we are going to the airport early in the morning. They always arrive a few minutes beforehand. Have never used them for last-minute, but from these posts, sounds like they are reliable.
