I Never Knew We Had A B & B!

For years I've been kvetching that Davis needs its own bed & breakfast. I might be the only person who didn't know about it, but we've had one all along! It's right on Morrison, and is aptly named The Morrison House.

I'm so excited at this discovery. Now my out-of-town family can come visit me and not have to stay in my mousehole apartment. And it's unbelievably cheap (by Boston area's insane hotel rates, anyway). So in case there's anyone else who didn't know about it, here it is:

My parents-in-law have stayed there a few times and really like it. Previously they'd stayed at A Cambridge House on Mass. Ave, which they didn't care for, and prior to that our hard lumpy futon couch, which they liked even less.

Yeah, all I have to offer is my futon couch with the too-thin futon, and a camping air mattress. Free cat hair with both. Now my guests have a civilized stay option.

Oh, you're kidding. I recognize that place--I drool over it every time I pass, because I love how it looks. A B&B? That means I can see the inside, too! Without being creepy, I mean.

Isn't it awesome? They don't have much signage out front so I've just mistaken it for an especially pretty house on the few times I've been on Morrison.

yep! i actually sing in chorus with the woman who co-runs it, and i LOVE the weeks when it's her turn to bring snacks. she is an awesome baker. :D

You're welcome! Funny thing -- when I looked at their availability page yesterday, they had hardly any bookings beyond September. Now every weekend in October has been booked! Hope you got a room for the time you needed one!
