The Red Cross donor center at 25 Stuart Street in Boston (a block away from the New England Medical Center stop on the Orange Line) is open for business Saturday morning, accepting donors until noon (actual donation takes longer). They're also open for part or all of Labor Day, call 617-556-2200 for hours. This is your closest bet. They are also open during the week, call for appointments. Hours are at http://www.newenglandblood.org/mass/boston.htm
You can also donate at MGH. Their blood donor center is closed for the weekend, but opens again on Tuesday. Call 617-726-8177 for appointments.
Both MGH and the Red Cross normally take walk-ins; I have no idea how busy they are this week though.
also, here is the list of bloodmobile locations by city/date. last friday i went to one at the jfk building on the city hall plaza - as a walk-in. they may or may not be able to take you depending on how busy they are.
I'm going to the blood drive at the Marriot Residence Inn on 9/9 at 11:30. They still have appointments (which you can find at the abovementioned givelife.org) and I'd love to see you there.
