Our 6 year old water heater IS apparently really a 6 yr model as we need to replace. The first quote was $2100 which is way more than I pexpected. Has anyone replaced yours lately and do you have a recommendation or can you confirm a ball park price range? It is a 50 gallon short with power vent if that makes sense to you.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Date: 2016-06-21 02:31 pm (UTC)I've heard that is not uncommon with water heaters (end of warranty -> sudden death) - unlike the one in my previous house that had a "property of CL&P" (CT Light & Power) sticker on it with a date about 25 years prior to the date I bought the house - and it survived my 14-year tenure. I was told that no one wants to pay what that sort of longevity costs nowadays, but I don't know if that's the issue or not.
