Anyone else getting constant flyovers most days and (more annoying) 2-4 large, low, LOUD flyovers between 10:45 pm and midnight every night?

City of Somerville advises you to call Massport and also 311 to report your complaint: http://www.somervillema.gov/departments/programs/reporting-airplane-noise

Massport politely took my complaint and promised me a written report.  311 said "people should totally call us about issues, no one ever calls us!", politely took my complaint, and said that various elected officials (including Rosetti, Capuano and some third person I'm forgetting, possibly the mayor) have been trying to get this mitigated, but not necessarily to much effect.

I've noticed that over in Medford too. I thought it was supposed to end in August, but this email from Mayor Burke (sent June 16)says June 23.

A message from CITY OF MEDFORD

Hello, this is Mayor Stephanie M. Burke with an informational message. The City of Medford has experienced a high volume of air traffic since the end of May due to the resurfacing of Logan Airport’s major runway. Massport has reported that the runway is expected to reopen for use by June 23rd and this should alleviate a great deal of the air traffic over Medford. We will continue to update you as we receive information from Massport and we will remain advocates in trying to find a solution to this ongoing concern. Please sign up for alerts at www.medfordma.org. Thank you.

Please go here (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/bostonwestfairskies) for the Google group for Boston West Fair Skies, an organization fighting for a more equitable dispersal of flights departing Logan. In 2013, the FAA changed how flights are directed out of Logan, implementing the RNAV "highways in the sky" system, which resulted in planes flying in tight corridors over the same communities. We are affected by flights departing runway 33L, and while the recent runway construction brought increased attention, this has been a major problem for some time and continues to be so.

Send your complaints regularly to Massport using their online complaint system (http://tinyurl.com/pvnwgte), send correspondence to city, state and federal elected officials, and spread the word.
