gingicat: deep purple lilacs, some buds, some open (ginger cat)

The pantry mice are back and have discovered that we have milk powder, tapioca powder, and guar gum.

I've done the glue traps. I'd rather not do that again. And they live in the floor joists that they access through the air ducts, so it's not like we can block off a mouse hole.

So if you have a Mighty Hunter Cat, we would like to borrow them for a day or so... just long enough to convince the mice that they would be happier next door.

(We're in Medford, the other side of Medford Square from Davis. We will feed you at least one meal.)

Sorry, my cat is useless with mice. She loves to bring me earthworms – comes in from the yard all eager with soil on her face. I just go with it . . .

I had pantry mice a few years ago. I tried all the "nice" things. Once I actually caught a mouse "manually", put it in a paper bag and walked it down a half block to the park.

Did all the "block up holes with steel wool" things. Didn't help (Thanks, Internet).

Finally I went to moCon 4. Snap traps and poison. Sigh.

That was the end of it. I am still traumatized by that morning I went into the pantry to check the trap and found that two little gray mice had been "snapped", one still alive and squirming. Yes, I put a paper bag over it and pounded it with a broom.

But that was the end of it.

Anyway . . . good luck! 😀
