Dermatologists?

Can anyone recommend a good local dermatologist?

It's been a bit since I had an appointment, and when I called the place I used to go, they said they were scheduling out to November 2026.

I'm hoping for a place with a no-nonsense approach that will focus on skin health, not marketing cosmetic procedures.

this is probably barely helpful at best, but some years ago I went to a decent one in the 22 Mill St building in Arlington. I can't remember who it was so I don't know if it's the practice that's currently there, but maybe worth a look?

I moved out of state a couple years ago but prior to that had been with BIDMC's dermatology department since 2010 and they were super on top of things even with my extremely prolific and non-standard presentation of moles. Zero attempts to upsell, 100% just focused on tracking change to catch anything before it gets bad (and they have indeed caught a few!), very helpful when I asked questions - I never felt rushed, a rarity in modern medicine in my experience - and the fact that it's a teaching hospital honestly left me feeling extra confident at the level of detail I was being tracked as it meant *multiple* people were checking me every visit as the attending comes through to review the resident's work.
