Of Mr. Crepes? Last I heard they were moving back to Davis in the Citizen's Bank building. Is this true? If so, do they have an ETA? I miss it.

My current understanding is that it got nixed due to one or more of a variety of factors, the two main ones being "neighborhood opposition to even more restaurants in the area instead of something else," and the building not being actually suited for restaurant use due to an exhaust system issue or something.

Either or both (or neither) might actually be the case; next time I see the building's property manager I'll inquire.

I've heard the former too; in fact, before the last city election, I got a mailing for Bruce Desmond from a bunch of Cottage Street neighbors thanking him for preventing restaurants in the Citizens Bank building. Rodents seem to be one of the main concerns back there.

The building was originally built to house offices, not restaurants or retail. Originally it was the headquarters of Somerset Savings Bank, which later got eaten up by first USTrust and then Citizens Bank.
