Does anyone have any information on the bed and breakfast right outside the square on 221 Morrison (off of college ave)?

Good? Bad? Other?

while i haven't stayed at the morrison house b+b, and can't comment on the inn itself, linde is in my choir, and makes awesome goodies for snack break. so i'd bet on the breakfast part being yummy. :)

My in-laws stayed there once and liked it, though pretty much anything is an improvement over our hard lumpy futon couch.

See, that's an ad campaign right there. "Not The Lumpy Futon" Bed and Breakfast. I can just see it on one of those fancy carved wooden signs...

There was a discussion about this a few months ago. People seem to love it (or their visiting relatives loved it). The rates are great, for Boston. You seriously won't find cheaper unless you win a Priceline auction or something. I wish I had an excuse to stay there -- it looks lovely.

They have a website: Morrison House (http://www.morrisonhousebnb.com/)

Hee me, too :)

The saddest thing is that I didn't learn about this place until I had moved to Boston (I mean it would have been so cool staying at this B&B during the 4 years before that when I regularly came to Boston on vacation ;)

Meacham Manor (http://www.meacham-manor.com/), while hardly a manor, is also very good and very cheap, and right behind the T.

Meachum Manor is basically like staying at your non-intrusive grandmother's house. So long as you're expecting that (e.g., hollow core doors, shared bath) it's pleasant, cheap, and could hardly be closer to Davis if it were actually in the T stop.

Wow, I've lived in this neighborhood for 13 years and had no idea there was a B&B on Meacham Road.

Friends of mine stayed there last year and loved it. They found it comfortable and charming.
