New yoga class in Cambridge!

A message from my friend Jane:

Starting this Sunday (02/05) I'm teaching my first yoga class! It's geared to beginners but suitable for intermediate as well. You can show up to any or all classes. I have a teacher training after this class finishes (3/19), and I'll start up again in early April after I return from that training.

Since I'm renting the space, this is not on their official schedule, so word of mouth is my only advertising. If you think of anyone else who would like to come, please forward this on.


Class Schedule

6 Sundays from 02/05 to 03/19 (excluding 02/19)

Time
2:00 - 3:30 PM at Karma Yoga Studio in Harvard Square 1132 Mass. Ave. (the Central Square side of Harvard Square, not far from Oona's)

Cost

$10 per class or $50 in advance for all 6

About the class

Wear loose clothing. This is a beginner level class which will provide a strong foundation for further study of yoga (in any method). This class will be taught in the Iyengar method, which focuses physically on precise alignment and safety. It is also a deep and meditative practice.

Props are available, and are heavily used in Iyengar's teaching (if needed). It's more important to achieve a pose with integrity than to look like the cover of a yoga magazine, so don't worry if you feel inflexible - it doesn't matter!
