Quizno's finally came up for a vote at last Thursday's Planning Board meeting. I get their minutes e-mailed to me each week, and they say that the board "voted unanimously (4-0) to allow the Applicant to withdraw without prejudice."

I think this means that the applicant, after hearing unanimous disapproval at last month's Davis Square Task Force meeting, decided to withdraw his application. "Without prejudice" means that this is a non-decision, and the applicant can reapply at a later time.

So nice of the commissars to pick which businesses can and can't come to town.

Saves us the effort of choosing individually whether or not to patronize the big bad chains!
