planned parenthood coming to davis?
Feb. 9th, 2006 11:50 pmWhen I walked past the Buck-a-Book space/Starbucks today, I noticed there was a sign for a Planned Parenthood Express Center (listed on the sign that lists all the businesses in that little plaza). So I wonder if the previous B-a-B space is becoming a new Planned Parenthood center? I'm fairly excited about this, especially as a previous employee of PPLM - they've been talking forever about opening smaller branches for just birth control and non-exam visits (right now they only have branches in Boston on Comm Ave, Springfield, and Worcester), and right in our neighborhood is great. Does anyone know anything more about this?
ETA: just found this on PPLM's website..I think this was recently posted.

Date: 2006-02-10 05:29 pm (UTC)I spoke with a planned parenthood spokesperson a few weeks ago and they are opening soon in Davis Square...I thought she said sometime in February, but maybe it will be closer to in March? Soon, though. And yes, from how I understood it, Express Center means they will provide non-exam services, like prescribing and STD testing.
