Is Comcast that bad? We live in Cambridge (so I guess I'm misposting here), and we've had Earthlink DSL for awhile, and it's actually fine, but we're thinking of reorganizing and getting Comcast as part of some service bundle.
What did they do? The worst thing RCN has done to me is put stupid commercials on; insignificant to the horror stories my friends experienced with Comcast.
To us, they've been dropping channels at random for two months. Our cable modem drops out in the middle of Warcraft, etc. We call them, and they say its weather related, or due to regular maintainance, or any number of other things, but everything will be fine tomorrow.
We gave up, and are trying to switch to Comcast even now. It's strangely difficult actually...
Huh. Never had a problem with comcast beyond an outage they gave us credit for when we called.
I think most big cable providers are the same - everybody has some issue at some point or another. Which devil you know and which devil you sleep with... eh.
Well, the cable companies are where you go to work when you can't deal with the complexity and high level of customer service of the phone companies, so...
