Does anyone have any recommendations for someone in the Davis Sq./Somerville are who can stitch up some PVC that has torn on the seams?

April should be OK. I just need to see them to make sure that they can be fixed.

Yeah, I was gonna say [livejournal.com profile] mrpet :) I also have the technology, but sadly am lacking in the time.

Just so you know that there is no actual way to fix the tear in the PVC, so the seam would have to be resewn trapping the offending material in the new seam allowance. This will make the garment smaller since some of the existing fabric will become the new seam allowance.

Other option would be patching if the seam in question is in a place where a patch can work. Since you will not be able to match the exact PVC you can opt for contrasting patches.
