I am currently battling with the new gym in town, Work Out World. They are trying to deny that they sent out a card offering a great deal: $15/month. If you have by any chance saved this small blue postcard (sent to all residents, I believe), I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to make a copy of it.

Thank you!

Where is there a WOW in Somerville?

(They're a huge hassle to deal with and have gotten a lot of complaints about their misleading advertising, FYI)

There's one in Medford, behind the UHaul. It's got a pretty big sign up advertising $19.99, the last I saw, which sounded like a good deal, except that getting out there would be a pain.

bally's in porter is incredibly cheap. they try to drive a deal but I pay less than $10/month after the first year, which was more like $20.

I go there... they are big liars with their mailing advertisements. It's just to get you in the door then they say oh, no we're not running that anymore, or it was only for the first 20 people.... the best I could get them down to was no money down and $29.99 per month for the first two years. after two years, it becomes $19.99 a month.

I once signed up there @ an advertised rate, then exercised my 3-day buyers' remorse option and cancelled the same day (after deciding I'd rather pay more for the convenience and atmosphere @ HealthWorks in Porter). When I went back, the sales guy (at that time a real stereotypical slimy faux-friendly one) desperately tryed to keep me on, offering to lower the price to something ridiculously low (forget what, but something like no deposit and $15 a month - but I didn't need two gyms). So if you are up for that kind of negotiating maneuver, give it a try...

I think I still have the postcard somewhere. The fine print does say something like "for the first 50 people"
