If you really want to improve the place, help make it easier for late-night businesses to operate. Even the store 24 can't stay open 24 hours now, which is ridiculous.

Seriously. As a dedicated night owl with no car, this not-being-able-to-buy-anything-after-midnight stuff really cramps my style. And I miss 3AM coffee and diner food after a night of drinking and carousing more than almost anything. Evidently there is a city ordinance against takeout / coffee / convenience store places staying open late or something? What is the rationale for that? And is there any way to get it changed?
