TurnHere.com has a very professional-looking three-minute film about Davis Square. Check it out. The Magpie store is prominently featured, as well as the Burren, Redbones, Diva, and other familiar sights.

(I do have to correct one error, however. One of the people interviewed said that an Indian restaurant in Davis would have been "unheard-of ten years ago". In fact, a restaurant with the simple name 'India Restaurant' was here long before Davis became 'hip'. It was located where Joshua Tree is now.)

I always liked the India Diner/Pizza Diner on Highland and Center.

I don't think they should call Somerville "suburban" in their front matter. Somerville is a city.

UNHEARD OF!

Agreed. To me, anyway, "adjacent to a larger city" is not the same as "suburban".

That whole movie sounded more like some sort of ad than an informational piece. I don't know what the reality of that guy is, but he certainly didn't sound to me like someone who's lived in Davis more than a short while.
